Buenos Aires, November 3, 2025 – President Javier Milei led the first formal meeting of his new cabinet at the Casa Rosada today, marking the beginning of the second stage of his administration.
The meeting also evaluated the next stages of the economic plan and the reorganization of the government's political and communication areas. Before the formal start, official photographers captured the traditional image of the cabinet members in the Hall of Busts, although Santiago Caputo avoided participating in the photo session, maintaining his usual low profile.
The ministerial reshuffle responds to Milei's decision to reinforce the political and executive structure following the departure of Guillermo Francos and Lisandro Catalán, replaced by Adorni and Santilli, respectively. With these moves, the President seeks to impose greater internal discipline, streamline coordination between ministries, and strengthen dialogue with governors and allied legislative blocs.
Santilli's appointment points to a management profile with territorial experience, while Adorni's promotion reflects Milei's absolute confidence in his closest spokesperson, now transformed into a political articulator and head of the national cabinet.
Around the oval table in the hall, Milei was accompanied by Adorni and by the Ministers Diego Santilli (Interior), Luis Caputo (Economy), Pablo Quirno (Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship), Mario Lugones (Health), Sandra Pettovello (Human Capital), Mariano Cúneo Libarona (Justice), Patricia Bullrich (Security) and Luis Petri (Defense). Also participating were the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Legal and Technical Secretary, María Ibarzabal Murphy, in addition to the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem; the head of the Central Bank, Santiago Bausili; and the presidential advisor, Santiago Caputo.
The only absent with notice was Federico Sturzenegger, Secretary of Deregulation and Transformation, who is in Madrid participating in the International Banking Conference 2025 organized by Banco Santander.
According to reports, the meeting focused on the legislative agenda for the month, with special attention to the 2026 Budget and the parliamentary strategy that will seek to consolidate agreements for its approval. In turn, Pablo Quirno formally takes over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim of intensifying the international economic agenda and deepening financial ties with the United States and Europe.
During the meeting, a review of the economic and political situation of the last few weeks was carried out, with special emphasis on the need to “strengthen management and consolidate results” towards the end of the year.
